Bubble Making
We are making the "world's largest bubble" in this family vlog.
Bubble Solution Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 teaspoon citric acid
1 teaspoon guar gum powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon rubbing alcohol
1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon dish soap
8 cups boiling water
8 cups cold water
1 large mixing bowl
Mix citric acid, guar gum powder, and baking soda. Add rubbing alcohol to dry ingredients and mix until you have a thick paste. Add 4 cups boiling water to the mix and stir until paste mostly disolves. *Be careful. It’s hot!* Add dish soap and 4 more cups of boiling water. Make sure dry ingredients and soap are dissolved. Carefully add 8 cups of cold water to mixture.
Bubble Wand
Tie or tape a rope in a circle between two wooden dowls.
To Create A Bubble
Dip bubble wand into soapy mixture by holding wooden dowls close together. Pull rope out of soapy mixture and pull dowls apart - you will see bubble solution within the circular rope section. Let air or wind blow into the suspended bubble solution to create a bubble. You may have to walk quickly in one direction to create air that blows into the bubble solution. Have fun!
