Consider Others, Hybrid Homeschool, & More
A very special guest joins for this episode of Conversations With the Browns. Sophia Grace Brown joins Mister Brown to discuss what it means to ‘Consider Others’, hybrid homeschool, and more with a few distractions and laughs along the way.
Why do we like to share our lives with people?
Even though I [Mister Brown] am online a lot and make YouTube videos, I am not a celebrity. I want people to know that my family and I are real people who live regular lives. We are wealthy, but not wealthy in the way most people define that. We consider ourselves wealthy with our relationships with each other and our family and friends.
Hybrid homeschool
We moved our kids into a hybrid homeschool program during the pandemic because it was the right thing for us. There were struggles, but for the most part we really enjoy this type of schooling for our kids and our kids are thriving on the program. This may not always be the schooling our kids do, but it works for us now. Sophia offers some interesting insights about this model of schooling and friendships.
Consider others
“Consider others” is one our family’s favorite phrases we say to each other. To consider others is to recognize that people have inherent worth and dignity. We should treat people with respect even when we have differences. Sometimes, considering others means putting other people’s needs or wants before our own. Sophia points this out when explaining how this phrase works when she and her brother, Evan, are “bickering”.
It was really fun having this conversation with Sophia. Tell me what you think.
